Mia Vukojević Named Acting Executive Vice President for Programs

For the last eight years, Mia Vukojević has directed the Fund’s Western Balkans program, which brings together our thematic interests in democracy, peace, and sustainability in a distinct geographic context. Before her time at RBF, Mia served as executive director of the Trag Foundation in Serbia and as a program officer for the Oak Foundation in Switzerland.

I am delighted that Mia has now agreed to serve as acting executive vice president for programs at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

As AEVP, Mia will oversee program development, review all grants, manage the philanthropic stewardship portfolio, and provide critical program insight to institution-wide projects. She will also continue to direct the Western Balkans program. Atika Khawaja, program associate for the Western Balkans, and Vesna Bajšanski-Agić, a longtime consultant in the region, will provide additional support to Western Balkans grantees throughout the year.

With her deep roots in philanthropy, global perspective, wide-ranging expertise, and generosity of spirit, Mia will ensure a seamless transition and continued innovation at the RBF.
