The gardens around Pocantico—from Kykuit’s traditional rose garden to the shrub-lined banks of the brook garden—have been carefully cultivated for decades. At the height of summer’s bloom, gardener Clare Levy Strom will guide you on a stroll through Pocantico’s varying landscapes to learn about the history of the gardens and experience their unparalleled beauty. 

Some parts of this tour will require walking uphill, on slippery or uneven terrain and gravel paths, and stairs. Please wear sturdy, comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. 

Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.

All sales final; no refunds. The ​rain​ date for this event is ​Tuesday, June 23, 2026​. Refunds are not available if guests are unable to attend the event, should it be rescheduled to the rain date.

Clare Levy Strom

Curator of Gardens

Clare Levy Strom is the curator of gardens for Kykuit, where she has worked for nearly 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Horticultural Therapy from Western Washington University.
