The Sitkovetsky Trio

A work-in-process showing with composer Julia Adolphe

-

David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center at Pocantico

Tickets: $15 (+$1.75 ticketing fee)

The Sitkovetsky Trio and composer Julia Adolphe will engage in a conversation on composition and present a new piece commissioned by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS). Tom Novak, CMS Director of Artistic Planning, Production, and Administration, will first moderate a discussion on the compositional process, the collaborative role of the performer in creating a new work, and the process of rehearsing a work that has not yet been performed. The Sitkovetsky Trio will then perform Adolphe’s new piece.

The event will be followed by an audience Q&A and a reception with special access to the DR Center gallery, currently showing Inspired Encounters: Women Artists and the Legacies of Modern Art.
