Kykuit at Pocantico

All visitors must reserve a free timed-entry ticket prior to visiting.

Kykuit is an iconic Beaux-Arts villa with a world-class art collection, majestic surrounding gardens, and sweeping Hudson River views. Enjoy a free tour of the Hudson Valley’s top cultural attraction before it opens for the season.

Completed in 1913, Kykuit (derived from the Dutch word for lookout) was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family beginning with the philanthropist and oil magnate John D. Rockefeller. Now a historic house museum and a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this extraordinary landmark has been continuously and meticulously maintained for more than 100 years.

Led by Kykuit museum educators, each hour-long time slot will include a walking tour of the villa’s main floor and modern art galleries, as well as access to the surrounding hilltop gardens. Visitors will park at The Pocantico Center and be shuttled to Kykuit from the parking lot.

All visitors must reserve a free timed-entry ticket prior to visiting. Tours are recommended for ages 10 and up.
