David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center

This event is sold out.

Join us for a Community Open House to celebrate the opening of the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center, a new arts hub open to the public at Pocantico. Get a first glimpse of the space: explore sustainability features like the solar array and rain garden, meet inaugural Pocantico Prize-winning visual artist Athena LaTocha in the studio, and view the inaugural exhibition, Inspired Encounters, in the gallery. At 2:30 p.m., local musician and composer Pablo Mayor and company will animate the performance space with a sneak peek open rehearsal of Untold Tales (premiering on November 16 at the DR Center), followed by an audience Q&A.

Created through the adaptive reuse of John D. Rockefeller’s historic 1908 Orangerie, the new DR Center is a sustainable and inclusive home for the creative process where artists and the community come together to develop, present, and experience new works of performing, literary, and visual arts.

Guests are welcome to join for any portion of this three-hour event.

Tickets to all Pocantico events must be obtained in advance on our website. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, we strongly recommend that masks are worn in all indoor spaces at The Pocantico Center.
