Tianjie Ma is program director of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s China program, where his work focuses on addressing the interconnected issues of climate change, biodiversity, and human wellbeing. Before joining the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Mr. Ma served as Director of China Dialogue Beijing from 2015 to 2022, reporting on China’s environmental affairs for a global audience. He was also Greenpeace’s program director for mainland China, leading efforts to advocate for stronger environmental measures. His book, In Search of Green China, recounts China’s 30-year struggle to clean up its environment. Mr. Ma holds a master’s degree in Global Environmental Politics from American University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Peking University.
