Merly Cramer is the executive assistant to the counsel and corporate secretary at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. She manages administrative responsibilities related to the governance and legal functions of the counsel and corporate secretary, manages the 501(c)(3) equivalency determination process for non-U.S grantees in conjunction with external contractors and RBF staff, and assists with special projects such as enterprise risk management and institutional events. Before moving to New York, she served as an attorney in Colombia where she helped individuals from underserved communities obtain legal resources to ensure their rights and also directed and supported a legal team. Prior to joining the RBF, Merly worked as an office manager for City Hall Capital, a boutique investment firm, and as an assistant at the Issroff Family Foundation, a private foundation in New York that provides capacity-building support to grassroots organizations in East Africa. She serves on the program committee for the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, an organization that empowers orphaned and vulnerable Rwandan youth through healing, education, and love. Merly received her law degree from Universidad del Norte in Colombia and studied at the American Language Program at Columbia University in New York City.
