Jonathon Fairhead

Associate to the Corporate Secretary

Jonathon Fairhead was associate to the corporate secretary at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Before joining the Fund, Fairhead was based in South Africa working as oral historian for the Atlantic Philanthropies Oral History Project where he interviewed Atlantic Philanthropies staff, grantees, and leaders in the fields of human rights, law, and education. That project will serve as the definitive history and critical study of the Atlantic Philanthropies. He has also served as archives assistant for the Carnegie Corporation of New York Oral History Project. Prior to that he served as secretary to the General Education Advisory Board and program assistant at the Open Society Foundations. He has a master’s degree in Oral History from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and an Ed.M. in International Education Development—Peace Education from Teachers College, both at Columbia University. As an undergraduate he majored in English at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
