Following a residency last year at The Pocantico Center, Ensemble Connect's performance featured a blend of old and new works, including a world premiere by composer Andy Akiho.

Creativity can be fueled by the collaboration between artists who approach their work in different ways and together discover new forms of expression. The Pocantico Center hosted more than a dozen residencies in 2016. Here is a glimpse into two of them.

During one of two Composers Now residencies at The Pocantico Center in October 2014, composer and violinist Mari Kimura wrote "Breuer Vivant," a piece inspired by the historic Marcel Breuer House, and performed it at The Pocantico Center in February 2015.

Fourteen of the Picasso tapestries commissioned by Governor Nelson Rockefeller are on loan to the San Antonio Museum of Art for a special exhibition through March 8, 2015. The hand-woven tapestries are on view together for the first time outside of the Rockefeller family estate at the Pocantico Historic Area.

Known for their playful and unexpected choreography, Monica Bill Barnes and Company is a contemporary American dance company based in New York City. Two of its key members had the opportunity to participate in a week-long residency at The Pocantico Center in July 2013. In this video, the dancers talk about their creative process and how the time and setting helped to shape their pieces.

In 2013, staff initiated a project to assess the outcomes and impact of program-related conferences held at the Fund’s Pocantico Center during the period 1994–2012. Pocantico hosted a total of 1,015 conference, retreats, or meetings in those 18 years.
