Since 2016, the Composers Now and Asian Cultural Council (ACC) creative residency program at The Pocantico Center has paired a distinguished composer with an artist drawn from a wide range of disciplines to live onsite at Pocantico for two weeks and develop a performance piece that engages the eyes and ears. The residency culminates with a public work-in-process showing of the artists' original work and a moderated discussion of their individual styles and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The fall 2025 residency welcomed composer Younje Cho and filmmaker Renu Savant to Pocantico. The documentary short below offers a behind‑the‑scenes look at their creative process during their residency and at the ways the Hudson Valley and Pocantico’s historic campus inspired their work.
