World Resources Institute: Report on the Civil Society Climate Finance Strategy Meeting
In preparation for the November 2010 climate talks in Cancun, Mexico, the World Resources Institute hosted a civil society strategy session to discuss how to best approach mitigating and adapting to climate change. As a result, a report was released making several recommendations, which involve finding new channels of funding, building legitimate institutions for climate finance, and using scarce resources effectively. The meeting of more than 60 participants from 15 countries was made possible by support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
