Public Interest Law Institute Founder Receives International Human Rights Award

Edwin Rekosh, human rights lawyer and founder and executive director of the Public Interest Law Institute (PILI), an RBF grantee, is this year's recipient of the International Human Rights Award from the American Bar Association Section of Litigation.

The Fund has supported PILI's civil society strengthening program in Serbia and Montenegro. The program trains nongovernmental organizations (NGO) in Serbia and Montenegro in public advocacy processes and strategies; facilitates NGO efforts to increase transparency in governance; and promotes clinical legal education.
