Presidential Climate Action Project Releases New Report
In its latest climate action report, the Presidential Climate Action Project provides a new set of recommendations for President Obama to initiate before the United Nations' 16th Conference of the Parties meets this November in Cancun. The five action items include:
- Work with states and local governments to create a national roadmap to the clean energy economy
- Declare a war on energy waste
- Begin reinventing national transportation policy
- Eliminate fossil energy subsidies under the Administration's control
- Establish ecosystem restoration as a climate action strategy
This report is the third in a series of recommendations for presidential climate leadership. The Presidential Climate Action Project is supported by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund through a grant to Natural Capitalism Solutions, Inc.
