Global Action Project Honored at the White House

RBF grantee the Global Action Project (GAP) was one of 15 organizations honored at the White House with a 2010 National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award. First Lady Michelle Obama presented the awards to the honorees on October 20, 2010.  More than 400 organizations were nominated, and GAP was selected from 50 finalists.

GAP was recognized for its work in youth leadership and creativity.  For nearly two decades, the Global Action Project has been training New York City young people from underserved areas to create documentaries, public service announcements, and short films to challenge the injustices they face and make change.
