Community Day 2026 Highlights

In May, The Pocantico Center welcomed over 400 people for its fourth annual Community Day, a celebration of local culture, creativity, and our neighbors at the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center.

Throughout the afternoon, families enjoyed sunshine, nature-inspired artmaking, face painting, firetruck activities, live music, complimentary pizza and ice cream, and a performance by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Flor Bromley. Activities and experiences were made possible by KinoSaito Art Center, Hudson Valley Writers Center, Lumina Arts at Union Church of Pocantico Hills, Volunteer New York, Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture, FunFaces by Brenda, Sleepy Hollow High School art students, Pocantico Hills Fire Department, Neptune in June, Strawtown Studio, Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, the Met Cloisters, Dream Dance Studio, the Community Weave Project, and The Bubble Man NYC.

The afternoon reflected the collaborative efforts of participating organizations, artists, educators, and community partners.
