The Youth Climate Finance Alliance (YCFA), a project of The Hack Foundation, empowers the next generation to fight for climate justice by equipping local leaders with skills and resources to challenge corporate polluters and the financial institutions that back them. Since its inception in 2023, this youth activist group has provided peer-to-peer coaching, led direct action campaigns, and built coalitions with the broader climate movement.
YCFA seeks to offer young people the tools not only to build power now but also to become lifelong organizers. Through its quarterly Organizer Support Fund and weekly Movement Ignition Fund, YCFA provides small grants to youth-led organizations that focus on local, grassroots organizing and have a commitment to non-violent direct action to address climate financing and extractive industries.
YCFA is also piloting a chapter program on college campuses nationwide as part of their commitment to building a democratic, leaderful movement of young people who believe in building a better world. Chapters receive ongoing support, including personalized training, specialized campaign materials, and access to YCFA’s peer network to share experiences, questions, and insights.
