1987 Annual Review

Chairman David Rockefeller, one of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's founders, offered a special message in the 1987 annual report as he prepared to retire.  Chairman Rockefeller, who was succeeded in office by his son, David Jr., reflected on his family's long tradition of philanthropy dating back to the first efforts of his grandfather who used his wealth to establish three institutions of higher learning.
