Works and Process, Inc.

New York, NY
United States

Works and Process fosters the understanding and creation of new works with programs that blend performance with illuminating artist discussions in the Guggenheim Museum’s intimate Frank Lloyd Wright-designed theater. In 2017, Works and Process launched its Rotunda Project, inviting artist to create performances in and for the Guggenheim rotunda.

Responding to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the Works and Process Artists (WPA) Virtual Commissions series premiered new work—totaling 85 commissions—online each week, providing creative and financial support to artists whose creativity drives New York’s thriving cultural sector. In summer of 2020, Works & Process pioneered and produced bubble residencies in the Hudson Valley that have since been widely duplicated. These projects have been transformed into live and filmed performances at the Guggenheim, Lincoln Center, and city-wide as part of NY PopsUp.
