Go inside Marcel Breuer’s iconic “country home for the commuter” to explore its history and restoration. Designed and constructed for a 1948 exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, the house was later purchased by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and reassembled as a guest house on the family estate, where today it hosts artist residents of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
Katrina London, manager of collections and curatorial projects at The Pocantico Center, leads guests on a tour to examine the art and furnishings adorning the Breuer House’s interiors, much of which was selected by the architect himself.
Katrina London is the manager of collections and curatorial projects of The Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. She is responsible for the stewardship of the collections within the Pocantico Historic Area, which includes supervising the conservation and care of works of art, curatorial research, and organizing exhibitions and educational programs.
