Drawing and Watercolor Painting Workshop at Kykuit

-

The Grounds of The Pocantico Center

Tickets: $125 (+ $3 ticketing fee)

Explore your drawing and watercolor painting abilities in this hands-on artistic workshop. Students will learn how to capture a sense of light and shadow, color, structure, environment, and atmosphere using Kykuit’s grounds as inspiration. The workshop will begin with a digital presentation and demonstration by instructor Carol Fabricatore, followed by a short walking tour, individualized instruction, and a group review of each student’s work. Students will work to finish one drawing or painting by the end of the day. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

The workshop is most appropriate for an intermediate beginner student with some drawing and painting experience. Each student will be asked to submit a two-paragraph statement describing their art background and what they hope to accomplish in the workshop.

Students will be expected to bring their own drawing supplies. A list of required and optional materials will be emailed following enrollment.

The rain date for this workshop is Thursday, June 2, 2022.
