Report Offers Recommendations to Guide Transition in Tunisia

The Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT) has released an analysis of international expert assistance offered in Tunisia after its January 2011 revolution. The report focuses on the country's reforms in its media, security sector, and judiciary, as well as youth employment; results have been mixed more than two years after the uprising. Both international and Tunisian players can make simple changes to improve the efficacy of international response during this critical transitional period, according to the report's authors.

The Rockefeller Brothers Fund provided seed funding to help launch IFIT, a nongovernmental organization that works to integrate policymaking into democracy, development, rule of law, and security during political transition in fragile and conflict-affected states.
