Art for Climate Action

As world leaders will soon gather in Copenhagen to negotiate a new global climate action, climate change advocates of all ages are rallying to support strong U.S. climate policy. Coordinated by RBF grantee 1Sky, over 200 "Make Art for Climate" house gatherings took place all across the country in November. The gatherings harnessed the creative power of friends and neighbors to craft unique banners, posters, and pictures that reflect the urgent need for bold climate policy. The climate-themed signs and art will be arranged on the Ellipse, a park in Washington, D.C., to spell out 3-5-0, representing the 350 parts per million that scientists believe is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
