Emily Weaver is program associate for the Fund’s Pivotal Place: China program and manages the Richard Rockefeller Fellowship. Prior to joining the RBF, Ms. Weaver founded and was managing director of Cascade Global Solutions, LLC., a nonprofit advisory firm specializing in Sino-US collaboration. She has over a decade of experience in China, managing diverse programs for international and local organizations such as the Clinton Foundation, The Asia Foundation, and the One Foundation. Ms. Weaver’s past work primarily focused on fostering a healthy ecosystem for China’s rapidly expanding social sector. She was a founding member of the China Philanthropy Research Institute and the China Global Philanthropy Institute, both leading training organizations for emerging nonprofit leaders and philanthropists.

Ms. Weaver holds a M.A. in international affairs with a concentration in international development from George Washington University, and dual B.A. degrees in history and Asian studies from Macalester College.
