Donor Contributions Policy

The Rockefeller Brothers Fund encourages other donors to support its grantees directly. When a donor prefers to work through the RBF, the Fund may accept contributions that are consistent with its philanthropic mission and enhance or complement its grantmaking. The Fund will not intentionally compete for funding with its grantees. The Fund may accept donations that relate to its historical areas of interest and/or respond to timely opportunities for impact that are consistent with its mission. The RBF will maintain the decision-making authority over the selection of grantees and the use of funds. The Fund prefers unrestricted gifts, but may accept donations with a recommendation that funds be used for a specific program area or purpose within a program area. Donor contributions will be integrated into the regular due diligence, monitoring, and reporting procedures of the Fund.
