Institutional Transparency

The Rockefeller Brothers Fund is committed to transparency in order to promote accountability and so that others might learn from our experience to accelerate progress toward a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world. Each year, the RBF publishes Annual Reviews to report on grantmaking, Pocantico operations, finance and investments, and human resources and diversity, as well as larger trends in our work and the philanthropic sector.

We also participate in sector-wide and field-specific transparency efforts including Candid’s GlassPockets and IssueLab, as well as regular reports on Grantee and Applicant Perception conducted by the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP). The RBF shares as much information as possible but, in some instances, legal requirements and privacy concerns preclude us from disclosing confidential materials, such as those shared by grantees or applicants.
