Climate Action Policy Proven as Powerful Economic Stimulus
Center for Climate Strategies, a project of RBF-funded Enterprising Environmental Solutions, has released a new report on the economic benefits of climate action, drawing on years of experience in several American states. The white paper, "Climate Change Policy as Economic Stimulus: Evidence and Opportunities from the States," clearly demonstrates a clear pattern of cost effective results for near term and mid-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets met across varying individual states, economic sectors and policies. By implementing a climate plan involving all U.S. states and economic sectors, preliminary projections based on this data estimate billions of dollars worth of savings nation-wide.
