NEW YORK, NY (December 31, 2009) - The Rockefeller Brothers Fund's online application for the Charles E. Culpeper Arts & Culture Grants is now available. Applicants should review the application guidelines before completing the online application.
The Charles E. Culpeper Arts & Culture Grants honor the legacy of Charles E. Culpeper by supporting the artists and arts and cultural organizations that make New York City one of the world's most dynamic creative capitals. These grants support the creative process, build the capacity of small and mid-size arts and cultural institutions, and promote the pursuit of the creative life.
The standard RBF letter of inquiry process does not apply for the arts and culture grants. Grant seekers must submit proposals through the arts and culture online application's letter of inquiry (LOI) process. LOIs are accepted each year, January 1 through March 1. To be eligible for the Charles E. Culpeper Arts & Culture Grants, grant seekers must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Applications will be reviewed by the Fund's staff, who will then invite formal proposals from organizations with the strongest preliminary applications. Announcements of grants recipients will be made after the Fund's June and November board meetings.
The Fund generally does not support capital campaigns or festivals through this program. In addition, current grantee organizations must wait a minimum of three years from their grant final payment before reapplying.
