Abstract

In response to the Architecture 2030 challenge for the building sector to become carbon neutral by the year 2030, a downtown Seattle neighborhood has transformed into the first ever high-performance district in the country. The Seattle 2030 District aims to "develop realistic, measurable, and innovative strategies to assist district property owners, managers, and tenants in meeting aggressive goals that reduce environmental impacts of facility construction and operations." Architecture 2030 is a project of RBF grantee, 2030, Inc.
