Pocantico Paper No. 5: Accountability in the Pesticide Industry

Report

Posted on: 06/25/2002

Abstract

Although many of the problems associated with pesticides are generally understood by the public, specific information about the long-term downside risks of investments in pesticides are not being adequately communicated. Efforts to help provide this information in ways useful to financial service professionals represent a profoundly constructive contribution both to ensuring greater corporate accountability, as well as safeguarding public and environmental health. This publication reports on a conference about accountability in the pesticide industry, held at The Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in June 2002.
