Fearless reporter Jeta Xharra was profiled in The New York Times on November 29, 2011. Xharra is the executive director of RBF grantee the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, an organization committed to promoting transparency and accountability through investigative journalism. The article describes her start as a 22-year-old fixer for the BBC during the war in Kosovo in 1999, and the evolution of her career, leading up to becoming one of the most influential women in Kosovo today.
