Michael Klompus

Director of Human Resources

Michael J. Klompus is the director of human resources for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.  He is currently responsible for developing and directing the human resources strategy for the Fund and related entities, and for providing leadership and guidance to the staff on matters related to human resources and organizational development. 

With 14 years of human resources and operations experience, Mr. Klompus's career has spanned several industries, including nonprofit, corporate, and education. Prior to joining the Fund in December 2008, he served as the managing director of human resources and administration for the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association.  Mr. Klompus also has served as the director of human resources and administration for The Earth Institute at Columbia University, where he directed the long-term core administrative elements of the Institute, including human resources, information technology, and facilities/operations.

Mr. Klompus holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from John Jay College, City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is currently obtaining a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology at Columbia University.
