Lydia Brown

Lydia Brown is the program assistant for the Fund’s Sustainable Development program, and participated in the Staff Grantmaking Fund from 2002 to 2009.  Ms. Brown worked for a New York City Community Board from 1978-1987, serving as district manager during the last seven years.  She then spent 11 years as the files manager for a midtown Manhattan law firm.  In 1997 she volunteered for the Boston-New York AIDS Ride and worked for the Ride full-time in 1998.

Ms. Brown has invested energy in a number of volunteer opportunities including running an intramural soccer league from 1980 to 1990. She has helped to pack and distribute meals once a week for God’s Love We Deliver since 1998.
