Karen Asakawa

Karen Asakawa is the assistant to the vice president for finance and operations. In addition to supporting the vice president, she assists the co-directors for finance. She also has participated in the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's Staff Grantmaking Committee for three years. Before joining the Fund in 2007, Ms. Asakawa worked at the F.B. Heron Foundation as an assistant to the vice president for investments, and previously as an assistant to program staff. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University in art history. An avid birder, she has been a volunteer and supporter of the New York City Audubon for many years.
