Doreen Wang
Program Assistant, New York City and Southern China
Doreen Wang is the program assistant for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's New York City and Southern China programs. She graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies, focusing on the Chinese diaspora. During her undergraduate career, she worked with Chinese and Afro-Peruvian communities in Lima, Peru, served as an archivist for Brown's Third World Center, and produced a theater installation piece exploring gender and the oral histories of prominent figures in LGBTQ communities. She joined the RBF after working in education and exhibitions at the Museum of Chinese in America and as an enumerator for the U.S. Census in Queens.
