Program Grants

The online Grant Inquiry is the starting point in applying for a grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

  • Before accessing the Grant Inquiry, applicants will first be asked to complete a brief eligibility quiz, which is helpful in determining whether a proposed project is compatible with RBF’s funding practices and program guidelines.  Successful completion of the quiz will forward you to the Grant Inquiry form.

  • Applicants should complete the entire Grant Inquiry form.  The narrative section of the form asks for detailed information regarding the specific request.  Applicants may skip this section only if the organization has documentation that already addresses those questions. Applicants can attach this document at the end of the Grant Inquiry form.  Please note: Applicants are limited to attaching one document.

  • Applicants can work on building their Grant Inquiry over time.  To do so, select “Save and Finish Later” button before logging out.  Applicants will receive immediate acknowledgement from the Fund following submission of a Grant Inquiry.

Geographic Focus

Grantmaking in South Africa was phased out in March 2009; therefore, new applications for South Africa projects should not be submitted.
