LOBBYING

As a tax-exempt private foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund is prohibited by the Internal Revenue Code from engaging in or supporting, including through the use of its facilities, any lobbying activities. (The restrictions that apply to private foundations are stronger than those for "public" charities.) Actual lobbying activities, or the planning or organizing of lobbying activities, are not appropriate for the Conference Center. Educational activities which do not fall into either of these categories are appropriate for the Conference Center. For further information, please see Treasury Regulations § 56.4911-2(b) and 53.4945-2.
